Be the Tree: part 2

So today as I was eating lunch, I was reminded of how many people turn from their morals and values when pressure is put upon them. We must be like the tree and stay rooted in Christ even when the whole world says we’re wrong, we must press towards the cross because eternal life is worth it, seeing our Savior face to face is worth it, but mast important winning as many souls to Christ as we can along the way!

Stay rooted church, it may be hard, you may be mocked, told you’re foolish or insane but the power of Christ is too great to deny! Stay the course and heed HIS call for HIS kingdom is surely at hand!

Be the Tree

Now I know what you’re thinking, be the tree, what does that mean? I know its not something you often hear, but tonight I want to take a minute of your time and explain the blessing of the tree.

"Luke 19:1-10 tells the story of a man who was overshadowed by the crowd, he sees a sycamore tree and immediately he climbs up and sees Jesus passing by, Jesus says Zacchaeus come down for I'm going to your house today."

Many times we come across people so overshadowed by the weight of the world that they don’t have an ounce of HOPE they can’t see the light, but that’s when we lift them up to Jesus. We get to hold them up, remind them that they matter, let them know that there is a God in heaven who loves them so much HE sacrificed HIS SON Jesus so that we could live. So today and everyday, BE THE TREE!

Faithful Friday

Be faithful even in the uncertainty and suffering, for God is with you!

We get so discouraged by situations out of our control, then we start pity parties asking, “Why me God?”, the enemy begins to laugh because we’ve taken our eyes off of the ONE who can calm the storm.

Jesus didn’t say there would never be troubles or that we wouldn’t be mocked for our faith but HE did say HE would be with us every step of the way! Remain Faithful for our time is short and the harvest is plenty, remain faithful, do not let your love run cold!

Worship Wednesday

“Lord let shaky hands be lifted high, Let weary voices rise, Let broken spirits cry, Lord let us seek you like never before, Let us praise you through the storm, Lord help us to be calm in the ever changing tides of life.”

I have come to realize that during my battles I rarely reach out to the Father first, I typically say I got this, then when I’m too weak to fight I call on Him to help me. Our Father does not expect us to fight our battles alone, but HE will not fight them for us unless we completely yield them to HIM.

We cannot fully walk in our purpose in Christ if we refuse to yield to HIM completely, are we not tiered of forfeiting blessings to a more willing vessel, are we not tiered of feeling like there’s more to HIS Glory and Power? Its time we stop cautiously walking the sidelines and dive in! God did not ask us to half-heartedly follow HIM, He asked that we follow HIM daily with all we have!

Dear Lord, Please give us the strength and the courage to follow you wherever you may lead us, Let us seek your Glory and your Will above our own, Let the world see your power like never before as your children completely yield to their callings in your SON Christ Jesus! Amen.

Faithful Friday

This morning I woke up with a heavy heart, as I was reminded how I fail the Lord daily. I struggle many times with letting God lead me, sometimes I strike my own path, but God always brings me back. I love how HE chases me down and reminds me just how much I mean to HIM especially in the darkest storms.

There are two verses that have been on my heart lately:

Esther 4:14- this is the part that sticks out to me…..”who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Matthew 25:21- “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”

Dear Lord,

Help me to let go and let you lead me, help me to see your plan, even in my moments of weakness where I run ahead. Guide me with your love and admonish me when I’m wrong, I want to forever be in your presence. Lord please guide me In your purpose, and please guide my friends as well, help us to multiply the Kingdom for your Glory, in Christ mighty name, Amen.

Sunday Thoughts

So many times we become consumed with worldly issues and fears, we lose sight of the eternal things. I am convinced that many times we miss fulfilling our purpose because we are too afraid to step out of our comfort zone. As a church we have become so comfortable just to sit on the back pew and raise our hands in empty praise. It’s time we start following the goading of the Holy Ghost and walk the path set before us. Many of us used to be on fire for God and we have allowed the world to water us down. Truth be told we’re afraid of judgement but if they judged Jesus they’ll judge us the same, be radical in your faith don’t just sit there, get out there and change the world one soul at a time!

Revival

These last two weeks have been full of church from VBS to Revival! I’ve never been so excited to see God move and I can’t wait to see what HE will continue to do in the weeks that follow. I’m so blessed to know a God that loves me and calls me daughter, the Lord of the most high knows my name!

Revelation Song

A scary scene
Plays in mind
A scene I’ve seen
A thousand times

I can hear
People screaming
In disbelief
As their loved ones vanished

A lot of lukewarm Christians
Will be left behind
God said its better to be
Cold or hot
Rather than somewhere in between

The book of Revelation
Will soon be fulfilled
It’s time we take a stand
No more straddling fences
We can’t leave people defenseless

Lion of Judah
We recommit
Fully recognizing
Your mercy and grace
Lord help us to reach the lost
And encourage the saints
Let our light shine so bright
That the world sees you
In its darkest night

“I know who goes before me, I know who stands behind, the God of Angel armies is always by my side!”- Chris Tomlin, Angel Armies

Dreams

Dreams aren’t a bad thing, as a matter of fact God has spoke to people in Dreams telling them of things to come. However, Dreams can also be a telling of our own selfish desires. It’s ok to want things and to strive to be better, I’m just saying that instead of saying Lord I want, ask HIM, Lord what do you want for my life? Many times we dwell on what we want for our lives, in the process we feel empty and unfulfilled. It’s important to remember that God has a plan for our lives and it’s important to always seek HIS will instead of our own.

Words of Wisdom

“A broken relationship is a lot easier to repair, than a relationship that never existed. “

It’s easier to fix something when you know it’s history, you know it’s scars, it’s twists and turns. It’s so easy to understand someone/something when you can see what made them who they are today. My point is if you have/had a relationship with Christ and you’re struggling that’s normal. Christ had a relationship with us before we were ever thought of HE died for us before we existed, HE knows every twist and turn we make, yet we never go too far out of HIS love.
